Chelseaa Agree £33million Fee For Michy Batshuayi

The Blues have also seen off competition from Juventus to land the coveted striker, who scored 17 goals in Ligue 1 last season.
The 22-year-old will now be granted special permission to leave the Belgium squad for a medical and is expected to sign a five-year deal to become Antonio Conte’s first signing.
Chelsea have had Batshuayi on their shortlist for some time.
They had intended to step up their interest had their primary targets, Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata, proved beyond them.
But they scrapped their plans to wait and slapped in a bid at 5pm on Tuesday afternoon after fearing Crystal Palace would land him.
The ambitious Eagles agreed a £31.6million fee for the highly-rated Belgian and offered him wages of £110,000-a-week.
But Batshuayi stalled as he did not want to go to Selhurst Park and jumped at the chance of a move to Stamford Bridge.
Juventus had only bid £24million and were unable to meet Marseille’s asking price. West Ham indicated to Marseille that they were willing to meet the full asking price and were confident of doing a deal to deny Palace.Chelsea, however, went straight to Batshuayi’s advisors to confirm they were willing to sign the striker and, once told of their interest, he dismissed all other offers to go to Stamford Bridge.
Batshuayi was last night said to be overjoyed at the prospect of playing for the Blues next season.
Totteham bowed out of the race several weeks ago after refusing to meet Marseille’s huge asking price.
Despite suggestions of a late move from the north Londoners Batshuayi was not interested.
But Batshuayi has still had a posse of clubs after him and scored in his country’s 4-0 win over Hungary at Euro2016 on Sunday.
Chelsea still intend to land several more signings before their pre-season programme. They include Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan, Leicester’s N’golo Kante and Everton’s John Stones.
