Former Chocolate City singer, Brymo is quickly becoming infamous for his misplaced statements as he has once again come under attack for saying that ‘black man likes to suffer.’
Following the recent spate of police killing people of colour in the United States, Brymo decided to weigh in with his thoughts.
His declaration which would go on to precipitate an attack on him – and support in some quarters – reads: ‘Black man suffers at home, black man suffers abroad. Black man suffers everywhere, black man likes to suffer.’
‘I’m a black man. I don’t like to suffer. Fucking generalizations & stereotypes! If it’s not fact don’t state it,’ a Twitter user retorted and it degenerated in a back-and-forth.
‘You can speak all the grammar you want, in the end the proof is all around us….,’ Brymo further tried to justify his statement.

There is a diff btw liking to suffer and having no option than to suffer .,, @brymolawale
Your point is salient, but can be misconstrued, because of your choice of words. I agree nonetheless twitter.com/BrymOlawale/st …
He continues unapologetic, telling fans to look elsewhere, away from his music if they don’t agree with his opinions. Really are you someone you hates the truth and likes to live in the dark tunnel? @krimmedic @BrymOlawale Black man suffers at home, black man suffers abroad. Black man suffers everywhere, black man likes to suffer.@BrymOlawale You have really been tweeting recklessly these days. Don't tear your 'almost done' career with yo miserable bare hands. Diot. He sure revels in being a different breed, as aptly depicted by this tweet: @BrymOlawale your timing is odd.
